The PhD scholarships are part of the DAAD GSSP (Graduate School Scholarship Program) 2024, i.e. in a first step the Graduate School nominates excellent eligible candidates for the PhD Scholarship which then are awarded by the DAAD with a PhD scholarship.

For the selection process of the Graduate School the following documents are to be submitted:
- a curriculum vitae
- a letter of motivation where you express preferences for one of the research topics
- Bachelor’s and master’s degree certificates and certificates of annual examinations taken at the home university (transcript of records ToR) including grades and explaining the home university’s grading system
- documents certifying knowledge of the English language
- a list of publications (optional)
