Qualification Program
The RTG will be run under the Lothar Collatz Graduate School (LCGS), which is a member of the MIN Graduate School (MIN GS), which in turn participates in its PhD program. In this way, the RTG will benefit from the well established structured doctoral education of the LCGS, which currently provides accommodation for a number of PhD-studies.
Moreover, the LCGS also hosted recently completed PhD-studies which were jointly supervised by members of the PI-team. The MIN GS bundles the expertise and organizes most of the general, non specific needs of structured graduate progammes in the MIN faculty. Members of MIN GS have to fulfill the main requirements for structured graduate programs formulated by the Wissenschaftsrat.
This particularly includes (a) a focussed research topic, (b) transparent (international) recruitment, (c) advisory panel for the supervision of doctoral students and (d) periodic retreats. In addition, the MIN GS International puts a special focus on the international component of the PhD students' education, with particularly aiming at internationalization of German PhD students.
