YRM & CSE Workshop on Modeling, Simulation & Optimization of Fluid Dynamic Applications 2022 (21.-24.3.2022) - Groß Schwansee
This workshop brings together leading experts from MSO mathematics, i.e. from modeling, optimization, and simulation, with principal investigators and young researchers from the Research Training Group RTG2583. The aim of the workshop is to foster collaborations between MSO mathematics and simulation-based fluid dynamic applications.
Topics of the workshop include:
- Model-based design in thermal convection
- Adaptive modelling of transient flows
- Preconditioners and kernel-based flow simulations
- Magnetic particle imaging
- Data assimilation for ocean modeling
- Ship optimization and shape design
Plenary Invited Speakers:
- Alfio Borzi (Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg, Germany)
- Michael Hinze (Universität Koblenz-Landau, Germany)
- Kathrin Padberg-Gehle (Leuphana Universität Lüneburg, Germany)
- Volker Schulz (Universität Trier, Germany)
- Kathrin Welker (Helmut Schmidt Universität, Germany)
The workshop is hosted by the Research Training Group RTG2583 and is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
