The Collatz-Centre organises several regular seminars at Hamburg University
- Lothar-Collatz-Kolloquium für Angewandte Mathematik
- Lothar-Collatz-Seminar
- Young Researchers Meeting & CSE Workshop
The 'Lothar-Collatz-Kolloquium für Angewandte Mathematik' is a research colloquium with an invited speaker presenting latest mathematical research in the field of applied mathematics.
The 'Lothar-Collatz-Seminar' is a course of presentation given by young researchers from the Collatz Centre. They address their current research project and report about recent achievements and open questions.
Additionally, there is an annual retreat of members of the Lothar Collatz school and colleagues from the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel. It comprises a Young Researchers Workshop and a subsequent international Workshop. Traditionally, we meet at the end of March in Gross Schwansee
Unfortunately we cannot proceed with the 'Kolloquium über mathematische Modellierung''. It was a public series of lectures. This evening occasion (starting at 18:15) has been offered by the Department of Mathematics since 1983. After the pandemic we did not succeed in attracting external audience and we had to stop the series in 2023. Hopefully we will find a succcessor of this format in the near future. .
