- Lothar-Collatz-Kolloquium für Angewandte Mathematik
- Lothar-Collatz-Seminar
- Young Researchers Meeting & CSE Workshop
The 'Kolloquium über mathematische Modellierung'' is a public series of lectures. This evening occasion (starting at 18:15) has been offered by the Department of Mathematics since 1983. In any semester, we choose one mathematical key aspect. It invites any person interested in mathematics to get in touch with scientists and their work in an informal manner. The talks are held in german. The entrance is free and no registration is required.
The 'Lothar-Collatz-Kolloquium für Angewandte Mathematik' is a research colloquium with an invited speaker presenting latest mathematical research in the field of applied mathematics.
The 'Lothar-Collatz-Seminar' is a course of presentation given by young researchers from the Collatz Centre. They address their current research project and report about recent achievements and open questions.
Additionally, there is an annual retreat of members of the Lothar Collatz school and colleagues from the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel. It comprises a Young Researchers Workshop and a subsequent international Workshop. Traditionally, we meet at the end of March in Plön, a lovely little town in Schleswig-Holstein.
